The show's creators, David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame Smith were both credited as executive producers in the show's credits. Both creators got their opportunities to alternate directing duties over the span of 24 episodes. Though, in some respects, each creator took on their own role in the series with David Katzenberg taking over more of the visual effects in the series and Seth Grahame taking charge of the script.

In the first decade of the 21st century, reality shows hit their highest peak. MTV was at the forefront of this trend, as they brought together some of the most absurdly ridiculous characters in television history, placing them in a show together and just letting nature take it's course.
One of the more successful experiments was Jersey Shore , a reality-based series with over the top New Jersey residents, who all had an Italian heritage. In an attempt to flirt with Vinny, Lily dresses likes Snookie, one of the more popular characters on the show to attract his attention. His friend Miles is pretty much the typical best friend and provides many of the show's best comedic moments and mature-rated dialogue.
But being that this is MTV, they have no problem whatsoever giving teenage characters sensationally raunchy dialogue and portraying them as horny, under-sexed outsiders what else are such characters to be in these types of set-ups? But this is MTV; what else do you expect? I wouldn't advise teenagers to watch this show because of the adult-sounding dialogue, but my warning has no meaning here.

Meanwhile, Jenny suffers through a mysterious sudden outbreak of severe acne just before an upcoming photoshoot of the cheerleaders and is embarrassed to be seen in public, despite RJ's efforts to comfort through the ordeal.
Is this just natural teenage hormones, or does someone have it in for RJ's girlfriend? S2, Ep5. When the pressures of his parents divorce and his overall school life begins to send RJ's GPA down the toilet, Pinkerton High assigns a tutor to him named Amy Bresner, who apparently has taken quite a shine to him. As Jenny seeks to lose her virginity to RJ, Lily reveals that she had him first, which makes her wonder if he's after his new tutor.
